Pinewood Elementary will host a drop-in Meet the Teacher event for students in grades 1-5 on Monday, August 10 from 5:00 until 6:30 p.m. Families can stop by anytime to meet teachers and visit classrooms before the school year begins.
As we prepare for the 2026–2027 school year, we need your help with transportation planning. Please complete the Pinewood Transportation Form to let us know how your child will get to and from school—by bus, car, or daycare. Your response helps us finalize bus routes, organize car rider procedures, coordinate daycare van drop-off and pick-up, and share important transportation updates before school begins. A new form is required for all students, even if your child’s transportation method has not changed. Please complete the form by July 31 to avoid delays in bus service during the first week of school.
We are pleased to welcome new students to Gaston County Schools. To begin the enrollment process, please download our student assignment application.
