Academics

Pinewood Elementary is proud to be an A+ School, where the arts are fully integrated into everyday learning through our Performing Arts Academy. This program helps students connect with subjects like reading, math, science, and technology using creative, hands-on activities that engage different learning styles. Through music, drama, and movement, students develop critical thinking and collaboration skills while staying excited about learning. Our teachers use innovative strategies to inspire creativity and promote positive behavior, making the arts a key part of our students’ academic success.

One example where our students' talents shine is the annual Pinewood Elementary Performing Arts Musical. Past performances have included Willie Wonka KIDS and Mary Poppins JR. These performances feature students acting, singing and dancing to bring beloved stories to life on stage. These productions are a wonderful opportunity for our students to build confidence, develop creative skills, and showcase their hard work to family and friends.

Our students also shine in academic competitions such as Math Masters and Battle of the Books, where they challenge themselves and celebrate their achievements.
